It’s not really funny. People put a lot of hard work into their blogs, and try to make them original and fun for the people that follow them. It is actually incredibly immature and inconsiderate for you to copy everything from a blog (down to the layout and the asks!) and post them as your own. It was disturbing when you did it to emmyfans and it’s more disturbing now that you’re doing it a second time (after being called out the first time!) to emmyrossum.
And if it’s a spam bot? Then the internet needs to die. But you are one clever spam bot.
I don’t think it’s a spam bot, because they changed all the links to ‘emmyrossum’ rather than ‘fyemmyrossum’. And there were some asks that weren’t anonymous, but were on the fy blog. I dunno if a spam bot can do that? Wouldn’t it just keep all the links and stuff the same? Plus, asks aren’t really something that can be copied from blog to blog :/. It’s just stupidity and I can picture whoever is behind it just grinning but honest to blog it is just the dumbest thing. Like. They’re not even trying to be sneaky about it. They’re just… stupid.
I know, I’ve got the same visual. Especially when they posted the ask that was actually asked by a real person, yet changed it to “anon”. And like you said, I don’t know if something spam-related could just change the names like that. :( I just hope something is done about it. I mean, I’m not sure if Tumblr can delete a blog based on “they’re copying us!” but maybe they can at least tell us for sure that it’s a user versus anything dangerous. It’s so, so dumb.
